Breathing Air Tests
Breathing air tests are completed to establish the quality of the air supplied by air lines or cylinders, strict guidelines are set out in BSEN 12021:1999.
Tests are completed in situ to determine the oxygen content, levels of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxideandoil mists, the presence of free water and water vapour in the air. These tests should be completed in accordance with your risk assessment, however CoSHH Regulations recommended that these tests are carried out at least every 3 months.
Slip Assessments
Slip assessments can be completed at your premises using a surfacemicroness meter, which givesan indication of slipperiness in water contaminated conditions by measuring the surface roughness of flooring materials. The HSE Slip Assessment Tool (SAT) gives an indication of slipperiness usingthe measurements taken, causesof contamination, cleaning regime and footwear.
DSE Workstation Assessment
The DSE Regulations are for the protection of those that habitually use DSE as part of their normal work. THE DSE regulations require employers to assess DSE workstations used by their employees.
Our workstation assessments include inspection of the workstation equipment and working environment, in addition to this an interview will be conducted with the user to establish any problems or discomforts.
All DSE Workstation Assessments are completed at your premises at a time convenient to you and your employees.
